Three-river city of Passau
One of the most attractive towns in Lower Bavaria - right at the confluence of the
Danube, Inn and Ilz.
The town of Passau is located approx. 33 km from Bad Füssing directly at the confluence of the Danube, Inn and Ilz at the so-called "Three Rivers Corner".
Whether by boat or on foot - Passau is truly unique. With a multitude of cultural offerings, sights and events, the university city is one of the region's most popular excursion destinations.
Truly fascinating is the Passau Old Townwhich was recreated by Italian artists in the 17th century after a town fire.
Picturesque, winding alleyways meander around the St Stephen's Cathedral, the city's landmark. Numerous romantic places, for example the Cathedral Squarethe town hall square and the Residenzplatz in the centre of the old town are ideal for a historical stroll through the city.
Watch the hustle and bustle in the medieval-looking alleyways over a cup of cappuccino in one of the street cafés.

Altötting

For more than 1250 years Altötting has been spiritual centre of Bavaria and for over 500 years Germany's most important Marian pilgrimage site. The city is also one of the "Shrines of Europe", the six major Marian pilgrimage sites in Europe.
Convince yourself of the largest Marian pilgrimage site in Bavariawhich invites thousands of believers from all over the world to the annual pilgrimage to Alltötting.
In the Chapel of Mercy with "Black Madonna" on Chapel Square The church is home to around 2000 votive tablets and 50 miracle tablets, an altar of mercy made of silver jewellery and the silver figure of St. Brother Konrad. Many famous Bavarian kings have found their final resting place here in silver urns.
The Papal Basilica of St Annewhich Collegiate Church and the Gothic collegiate church of St Magdalena are among the city's other attractions.
